Your membership includes a verified profile with a shareable link, unlimited document storage with OCR, multi-level credential verification, job alerts & applications, training & cert reminders, marketplace access, crew forums, and sea service history export as PDF, plus all future base features.
How much are the add-ons?
Digital Sea Service (DSS) and Background Verification by Anjin are billed separately as optional add-ons. Pricing for each is shown at checkout when you sign up or upgrade your plan. You can add or remove them at any time from your account settings.
How is verification different from just uploading a PDF?
PDFs can be forged, mis-dated, or incomplete. YWC verifies documents directly against the issuing authority, flag authority, training centre, or maritime registry, so employers see a verified status, not just a scan they have to trust blindly.
Does Digital Sea Service meet STCW / MLC requirements?
Yes. DSS logs conform to ILO MLC 2006 rest-hour standards and are formatted for MCA, Flag State, and PSC inspectors. The generated PDFs are audit-ready and digitally signed, so they hold up during port state control inspections.
Will employers see my data without my permission?
Never. Your profile is private by default. You control who sees your data , employers can only view the information you explicitly choose to share, including documents, sea service records, and contact details.
